The Basa Gede (Basic sauce) is a sauce used in many recipes. To be consumed with a tofu, on a toast or with its vegetables.
And here, a new country and a new kitchen, I present a set of vegetarian Indonesian recipes. As usual you see how you wish to change it to your liking 🙂
Ingredients (for 2 servings)
2 pcs Red hot chilli
1/2 finger Aromatic ginger
1/2 finger Ginger
1 pcs finger Tumeric
1/2 tsp coriander
1/2 finger galangal
5 pcs shallots
3 pcs Garlic
4 pcs Kendle nuts
1/2 teaspoon Black pepper
1/2 teaspoon White pepper
1 Lemon Grass
1 bay leaf
Recipe from the Basa Gede
1) Finely cut all the ingredients
2) Grind all the ingredients except the bay leaf until become smooth.
3) Return to the skillet for 10 min. Then add the bay leaf to half cooking time.
4) To taste with tofu with curry or on toast.
